About Montalcino and Montepulciano

Montalcino is one of the most dramatic hilltowns in Tuscany, with dominant views over the Valley of the river Orcia, a UNESCO heritage sit. The Brunello, traditional wine of Montalcino, has an intense bouquet with a remarkable oaky fragrance, a velvety flavor and a great harmony. The Brunello wines to be tasted in Montalcino are strong, structured, and tannic wines with a very long life

The drive between Montepuclaino and Montalcino is considered one of the most spectacular scenic vistas in all of Tuscany.

Montepulciano is considered the 'Gem of the Renaissance' for its incredibl well preserved architecture. The wine from Montepulciano has been known to be of the highest quality since the eigth century. Most of the bildings of the historic city center were built on top of Etruscan tombs, which were transformed into wine cellars throughout the centuries. Vino Nobile, the traditional wine from Montepulciano, has a rich ruby color, fruity cherry bouquet, and a strong but balanced flavor with a long finish.
